Spring is Here!

It’s been several months since we’ve updated you on the happenings at the farm. We’ve been busy! Spring weather is coming and it’s an exciting time for students and staff! We have been planning and preparing for the first ever Alpaca Hop that will be held on March 30th at 11:00am! The event is posted on our website with a link to register or donate as well as our Facebook. Feel free to share the registration link with your friends, everyone is welcome! We are looking forward to hosting you at the farm to see all of the fun projects we’ve been working so hard on!

We recently welcomed a new animal friend to the farm, a rabbit named Clover! She loves carrots and we might be a little biased, but she is the sweetest and cutest rabbit ever! The staff and students are loving having a fluffy friend in the shop and learning all about rabbits and how to care for them. We are looking forward to all of you meeting her at the Alpaca Hop! We also welcomed two more friends, two cats that will help to minimize unwanted pests from taking up residence in our barn! We’re planning on setting up a table at our Alpaca Hop later this month to allow our guests the opportunity to help us name our new cat friends!

The last couple of months we have been very busy planning our hoop house and we have finally had some good weather the last couple weeks to start getting our hands dirty! We are growing all sorts of things like dill, peppers, carrots ( for Clover 😀), tomatoes, and many more! We are looking forward to the installation of electric side panels to help regulate the temperature inside the hoop house so that it is more comfortable to work inside year round!
