Sondra Williams - Advisory Council
Sondra Williams, an adult living with autism, is an autism and disabilities mentor for children and adults, a board member of local, state and national level autism organizations, and a national speaker for autism, disability and trauma. Sondra has vast experience working in the autism field – as a parent, a mentor and a board member on local, state and national levels – and has received numerous awards, including the Courage Award from Governor Kasich in 2013 for her work mentoring teens and adults with autism and the Impact Award in 2016 for her work in trauma and disabilities. She founded and developed the S.P.E.A.K.S. art program and met President Obama in 2010. She has taught art and computer animation to students on the autism spectrum and she developed and taught a pre-transition program for TLS middle school students on the autism spectrum. Sondra raised four children with autism and has a grandchild with autism as well.
