What we offer
Our Programs
No two groups are alike, and neither are our programs! Our licensed instructors work with each organization to tailor their farm experience to participants' unique needs, interests, and goals. Through hands-on agricultural activities, animal interactions, gardening, and real-world learning opportunities, participants can build practical life skills, explore vocational interests, develop social connections, and grow in confidence—all in a welcoming, supportive farm environment.
Educational Field Trips & Farm Visits
We welcome school groups, homeschool co-ops, clubs, and community organizations for guided farm visits by appointment. Explore agriculture through hands-on learning, animal interactions, and sensory-friendly experiences in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Workplace Readiness & Job Skills
We use hands-on farm experiences to help individuals explore vocational interests, practice workplace skills, and prepare for future employment. Through programs like Summer Farm Lab and real-world learning opportunities, we aim to build confidence, independence, and pathways to meaningful work.
School Programming
Our licensed teachers partner with K-12 schools to support students’ IEP goals and transition planning. Through hands-on, farm-based activities, students practice life skills, explore vocational interests, and reinforce classroom learning in a real-world setting.
Adult Program Partnerships
We collaborate with adult day programs to create opportunities centered on community integration and social connection. Participants engage in farm activities that encourage relationship-building, independence, and a sense of belonging in a welcoming, inclusive setting.
Animal Encounters & Agricultural Learning
From animal care and gardening to sustainable farming practices, we offer hands-on opportunities to explore agriculture and responsible stewardship of the land. We love sharing what we’ve learned and helping others discover practical ways to incorporate these practices into their own farms, gardens, and communities.
Community Events & Sensory Friendly Activities
From our annual Family Fall Festival to seasonal farm days, we host inclusive community events designed with sensory-friendly accommodations. These gatherings celebrate our participants and invite the broader community to learn about and support our mission.
Summer Farm Lab
Real Skills. Brighter Futures.
Summer Farm Lab is our immersive two-week program designed for neurodivergent youth and young adults focused on workplace readiness, independence, and real-world learning. Participants work on hands-on farm tasks, project completion, career interest exploration, and building the confidence to thrive in a workplace setting.
- Hands-on job skills: planting, harvesting, animal care, and facility upkeep
- Workplace readiness: work ethic, problem solving, and self-advocacy
- Resume development highlighting skills and experience gained at the farm
- Letter of recommendation for future school, volunteer, or employment opportunities
- Program finale: a student-led market and buffet-style lunch to showcase their skills and celebrate their hard work
Every participant leaves with a completed resume, a letter of recommendation, and resources to support their next steps on their journeys. 2025 market materials were graciously supported by the GPD Employees Foundation.
