Learning 4 Life Farm is diving headfirst into organic gardening with the students at The Learning Spectrum North East - Johnstown.
Alpacas are effective therapy animals for kids and adults on the autism spectrum! Interacting with alpacas and other therapy animals can have a calming, centering effect for people on the spectrum, lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, and help teach interpersonal skills.
Why create a 7-acre farm with gardens, therapy alpacas, and a retail shop as a job training program for teens and young adults on the autism spectrum? The need is real and the benefits are limitless!
