Dr. Mary Salmon, PhD - Advisory Council
Dr. Mary has over 40 years of experience in Special Education, holds a BS Special Education and General Education from Northern Michigan University, an MAEd in Multi-handicapped Education from the University of Memphis and a doctorate from The Ohio State University. She maintains doctoral certification in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D). She holds teaching licensure in the areas of Early Childhood Special Education, K-12 moderate-intensive and general education K-6. Dr. Mary began her career as an Intervention Specialist serving students in public school systems and has taught graduate and undergraduate level special education courses at The Ohio State University, mentoring many talented intervention specialists over the years. Prior to coming to TLS, she was a special education coordinator and REACH Program manager with Columbus City Schools. She serves as the Senior Director of Education at The Learning Spectrum. She is the proud mother of 4 adult children, 5 grandchildren, and 1 foster son.
