Learning 4 Life Farm is a nonprofit subsidiary of The Learning Spectrum, LLC (TLS). TLS has been providing educational and therapy services for students on the autism spectrum in central Ohio since 2005, and currently serves over 200 PreK-12th grade students with autism spectrum disorder at three Ohio charter schools around central Ohio. TLS Executive Director Jill Medley also serves as Learning 4 Life Farm Executive Director.
Parents, staff and administrators at TLS saw the need for Learning 4 Life Farm's educational transition program as TLS students on the autism spectrum began graduating from 12th grade but did not have the skills to find or hold a job, continue in higher education, or live independently. Learning 4 Life Farm was established as an innovative pilot project to focus on the root causes of that problem, empower young adults with autism, and improve and enhance their quality of life.
Learning 4 Life Farm shares a campus with TLS North East, located on Rt. 62 just east of Johnstown, Ohio. TLS students have been actively involved with the Learning 4 Life Farm gardens, beekeeping program, and fundraising for our full farm construction since day one of the Farm's establishment. We are developing a full transition job training curriculum for TLS students as well as participants from the community.
